Code of Practice

As a Marriage Celebrant, I have a Duty of Care to follow the Code of Practice which you can view here at: Code of practice for marriage celebrants [PDF 94.54 KB] or on the Attorney General’s department website https://www.ag.gov.au/

I endeavour to maintain a high standard of service in my professional conduct and comply with legislation.

How to make a complaint

Here, are direct links to the Attorney General’s department outlining how to make a complaint about me if you feel dissatisfied by my services as a celebrant:

Before you complain about a marriage celebrant

What you can complain about

Before you submit the complaint form, please do discuss the matter with me so that I can work with you both to resolve any misgivings that you may have.

If you both feel that the matter is unresolved, and you are dissatisfied, then please use the online complaint form here.

Marriage education services

It is also my duty to inform you of marriage education services. There is a document outlining the obligations and consequences of marriage. It also states the availability of marriage education and counselling. You can access the Happily Ever… Before and After brochure [PDF 49.03 KB] here.

For more information about the services and advice available for couples and families, visit the Family Relationships Online website at www.familyrelationships.gov.au or the Relationships matter website at https://relationshipmatters.com.au/
